Installation Work Crew Chiefs

  • The physical presence of a certified Crew Chief is required throughout each job.
  • He must hold a Lead-Safe Renovator Supervisor certificate 
  • As per Mass Save Contractors expertise, Duct sealing certification might also be required 
  • The Crew Chief must hold credentials for at least one of the following certification pathways.
  • Boot camp: Crew Member Training, Combustion Safety Training, and Boot Camp Crew Chief Field Exam
  • Boot camp: Crew Member Training,  BPI Building Analyst Certification, and Boot Camp Crew Chief Field Exam
  • Boot camp: Crew Member Training, Boot camp: Crew Chief Training, and Boot Camp Crew Chief Field Exam
  • DOE Weatherization Crew Chief certification
  • Other RMC-approved training/authorization that proves the knowledge of standard air sealing and dense pack methods, combustion safety testing, and job site management.
  • Upon completion of the required training, Mass Save contractors must pass the Crew Chief Field Exam
  • If the CST training final exam is not cleared: CST training is to be repeated
  •  If the Crew Chief field exam is not cleared: The 2-day Crew Chief training is to be completed
