- Lead paint must never be disturbed unless necessary and must be done by only people certified to complete work using lead-safe protocols.
Mass Save Contractor must assume that all homes built before 1978 have to lead or else verified otherwise. If there is a need to disturb lead in the weatherization process, Mass Save Contractor must follow the lead-safe practices as per the EPA and Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Regulations.
