Save Up to $16,000 with Mass Save Heat Pump Rebates

Mini split heat pumps are eligible for a rebate worth up to $16,000 through the Mass Save program. Mini split heat pumps are extremely energy efficient and can reduce your home’s energy consumption, which means you won’t just save on installation costs—you’ll also save money every month on your energy bills.

There are two types of heat pump rebates available through Mass Save:

Whole-home heat pump rebate: Available to customers who install heat pumps as their sole source of heating and cooling. The whole-home heat pump rebate is worth up to $10,000, or up to $16,000 for income-qualified customers.

Partial-home heat pump rebate: Partial-home rebates are available to customers who install mini splits but also maintain a furnace or boiler as a supplemental heating system. These rebates are offered based on equipment size and are worth $1,250 per ton, up to $10,000.

Follow These Steps to Qualify for Heat Pump Rebates

It’s easy to qualify for mini split heat pump rebates. Just follow these steps:

  2. Make the weatherization upgrades recommended during your assessment (you can save on these upgrades too with Mass Save insulation and air sealing rebates).
  3. Have your mini split heat pump system installed by a Mass Save HVAC contractor.
  4. Get your rebate!

To be eligible for Mass Save rebates, you must live in Massachusetts and be a customer of Berkshire Gas, Cape Light Compact, Eversource, Liberty Utilities, National Grid, or Unitil. Rebates are available to homeowners, renters, and landlords.
