Area Calculations

The Energy Specialist draws a diagram of the home and calculates volume and area whenever energy efficiency developments are suggested. All measurements are made nearest six inches. Floor area and volume calculations are required for all homes for all suggested improvements. Area calculations are required for any constituent of the thermal envelope to be upgraded. Wall insulation measurements have gross measurements and so the subtraction of windows and doors may not be required.
