Know the Distribution System Efficiency (DSE) by visually assessing the three duct characteristics below. Take a look at Building Performance Institute’s ‘Distribution Efficiency Look-Up Table’ and the outcomes of the duct system assessment below to lookup the DSE. Consecutively, enter inputs necessary for the program-approved energy modeling software, then the software will appraise the system’s distribution system efficiency and energy savings from any duct weatherization.

  • The proportion of ductwork located outside of the conditioned space
  • Duct leakage assessment
  • Duct insulation assessment
