For electrically heated homes, replacement of old thermostats with new, programmable thermostats may lead to enough energy savings. A specific number of electric thermostats may be required as stated by Program Administrator. To install electric heat thermostats, the current thermostats should be wall-mounted. Thermostats present in bathrooms must not be replaced because of potential moisture risks.
