Combustion Safety Testing

A house should pass all applicable combustion safety tests before the installation of weatherization measures in the home. The combustion safety evaluation should be done as per the applicable Building Performance Institute Building Analyst standards. This includes testing all combustion heating and hot water systems besides ovens and dryers. BPI test procedures summary is shown below. You may contact the lead vendor for more information. Energy Specialists should follow the notification protocols as per the Program Administrator for combustion failures.
